Hey guys, as soon as I graduated high school I started working for my fathers plumbing company for about a year. During that year, I barely took any classes maybe 6 units a semester at my local CC. Currently I’m taking 14 units and will be taking 15 units plus for the rest of my college career. My question is how much will a low course load for an entire year impact my admission into a medical school? Thank you!

Barely at all. But your plumbing background will be an unusual asset.
(seriously)

You had a good reason for it and have plenty of time to show you can handle a rigorous courseload. You may be asked about it in interviews and if you do you have a good opportunity to show off a unique aspect of yourself
