This is awesome. I've heard of something similar, but I forget the specficis...I think it was a chair with a backrest that has little "pixels" that can mimic contrast from a camera...same concept here but much more portable...pretty neat stuff.
 
the pbs video blew me away... i really hope this technology takes off... i wonder what else we'll discover about the brain through this type of research and innovation.

for those interested, this book discusses the work done on this kind of technology and loads of other amazing/astounding/fantastic innovations that have changed completely what we thought/knew about the brain and plasticity. fascinating, and holds great hope for the future.
