I'm looking for ways to get my hours but All the places I've called said they don't do volunteering (even though their websites clearly state they do).
And I've been trying to see if I can get my MA certificate but even jobs for CMA require you to have at least 1 year of experience...
Jobs in a nutshell. You need experience to get the job, can't get experience without a job.

Should I just start calling physicians and physician assistants instead of the clinics/hospitals?

Does pharmacy tech experience count? That's a pretty cushy job (I was one) and lots of options for how many hours you want to work and where you want to work

Most are medical scribes (jot down notes in the ER), CNAs (Takes about 1 week to complete), and/or EMTs (longer more expensive process).

I'm very biased, but I would totally push for CNA!

I was in charge of distributing meds, charting, making tough decisions on my feet, and tons of other experiences valuable to medicine. And if you still love the job after someone poos all over you, you know medicine is right for you 😀

I'm planning on going the EMT route. My friend did the CNA thing and is now in PA school.
