gdbaby, I'd like to read yours just b/c I think it would be way interesting. Would you let me?gdbaby said:I am happy to send mine to people who PM me. It is too specific for people to copy and even if they did copy it--that is a serious personal flaw on their part which will come out to adcoms some other way.

YOU are supposed to be studying. Are you ready for your final? When you have some time, yeah, will you email it to me? It would totally be fun to read some of the rising M1s' essays. 🙂Saluki said:Do you want to read mine? It's way funny 😀
In any case, I don't think I feel comfortable posting mine on the internet, and there are always going to be a few stupid people who actually try to rip off portions of other people's so I don't think it's a good idea for any of us to post them (though I doubt mine would be of the quality that people would want to rip it off 😛
Besides, people don't know all the schools where we applied. Most SDNers apply to 10-20 schools (sometimes more) so sending in a personal statement that the adcom may have already read and probably still has on file is a huge/stupid risk to take.gdbaby said:I am happy to send mine to people who PM me. Sure, Q. I am looking for it on my computer since I had others PM me about it. I'll send it to you as soon as I find it (tonight, hopefully!).QofQuimica said:gdbaby, I'd like to read yours just b/c I think it would be way interesting. Would you let me?

I take it as a huge compliment that you want to read it, Q. Now, once you finish reading it: that may be a different story.
Exactly. And I have just never agreed with the "I worked really hard on this so I'm not sharing" attitude. I understand it, but it's not me. I want to share what I have learned (I re-wrote this gd thing 7 times!) so others can have leg up on their own PS.LadyJubilee8_18 said:Besides, people don't know all the schools where we applied. For those who want examples, here's a link to about ten personal statementsgdbaby said:Exactly. And I have just never agreed with the "I worked really hard on this so I'm not sharing" attitude.
