Are there any medical schools that are pass/fail all 4 years, not just the first 2 years and then honors, high pass, pass, low pass, fail the last two?

Are there any schools where you can be assured that they truly don't rank their students? I've heard that Yale's exams are anonymous. Do you not write your name on the exam? Doesn't Yale also say they have no grades at all for the first two years? Are there any other medical schools that do this?

Are you looking to slack off once you get in? 😛 j/k!

Cleveland clinic has no rankings, grades, or even exams...for all 5 years. Probably not what you are looking for. But I understand from my upperclassmates that there can be some headaches trying to match into competitive residency programs without the AOA (honors) rankings.

Also, remember, you can't get away from the USMLE, which is perhaps the most important exam of your career.

This phrase makes no sense. Pass/fail and honors/high pass/pass/low pass/fail are completely different things. The second, as you've written it is a five tiered system, no better than ABCDE.

I think the OP was referring to the many schools that do P/F for the preclinical years and then during clinical years change it to some kind of grade system....

MSU CHM

P/F first 2 years

P/F/H 3rd year

P/F 4th year

The Honors during 3rd year is mostly used for AOA, and residency purposes. There are absolutely no "rankings" but on your MSPE you will get lumped into the "outstanding, excellent, good, fair" rankings that every student will get.

P/F during pre-clinical years is extremely nice. But you cant escape evaluations.

I'm pretty sure schools are required to rank you for residency purposes.
