hey,
so i am now taking an upper level econ class pass/fail. Since i am an econ major, do med schools view this as a negative thing? eventho i did well in all my other classes in my department and will graduate with both general honors and econ honors, i just wanna know if taking an upper level elective pass/fail will hurt my chances. thank you.

If everything else is in line, it should not affect your chances. I p/f'd a couple classes (one in one of my majors) and it didn't stop me from getting multiple acceptances. Just be sure to do well in all your other courses.

It should not hurt your chances unless you have numerous P/F courses in your major. Having just one should not do much, as long as you take other courses for grades and do well in them.

Just make sure not to take any pre-req sciences or upper-level sciences for P/F though (although some upper-level sciences not directly related to a science major for P/F should not make a huge impact).
