I took a math class pass fail my freshman year when I thought I wanted to become a lawyer. My sophomore year I realized medicine was my calling and now I have that lower division calc class pass/fail... When calculating the GPAs is there a section on the AMCAS specificly for p/f credits? Will this be inputed in my BPCM gpa? A pass fail in some art class is a little different than one in a math class

is it a math class required for the school's that you are applying for? If so, chances are that you'll have to retake that class (or a higher one) for a grade.

i took most of my premed requirements (orgo, chem, physics, calc) P/F, but non-intentionally (my freshman year was p/f).

on the amcas they don't calculate it into your gpa...b/c you can't.

i'm not sure if calc is required - if you're taking another math class, take it with grades...if you really want to go to certain schools, call them and ask. otherwise, i think it'd be a waste of time to retake a class you've already taken...just for a grade. you could also check to see if you could get that class retrograded. g'luck

:luck:
