I'm currently taking Physics (both lab course and lecture course). I am doing better in the lecture course than lab; I got a bad lab report mark, and I dropped from an B+ to a low B. I am considering my school's pass/fail option because it would provide me a cushion just in case I have another bad lab report mark (the TAs have a tendency to be VERY nitpicky in grading) but I was wondering if it will look bad on my transcript and my chances of applying to medical school.

Do any of you have suggestions? I'd like to hear what you'd like to think. 😳

Most schools require you to have a year of physics + lab with grades. If you P/F the course, it's likely that you'll have to take another physics lab with a grade to make up for it.

I agree with the post above. Physics lab is a pre-req so they want a grade, not P/F.

Okay then. I'll keep it a graded course. B's not that bad, I'm being a little overcautious. :eyebrow: I have four more labs and a lab test to bring up my grade.

Thank you! 😀
