Pass/fail will by definition not harm your gpa. It’s fine as long as it’s not in a pre-req course

Foreign language courses, esp. spanish, are recommended by medical schools, but not required. Get a subscription to MSAR and check out the schools that you are interested in and their required/recommended courses...
