Can anyone tell me what their experience was like with the PASS program in Illinois? I have failed Step 1 twice:scared:, once by 1 point then by 4 points.

For the first one I used Kaplan Live/QBank. For the second one I used USMLEWorld and First Aid. I was considering the Falcon program in Dallas, TX but their class schedule doesn't coincide with mine so I am now considering the PASS program. HELP!!!

I'm interested in information as well. I'm taking Step 1 in March and I'm trying to decide between Kaplan and PASS. I need some sort of structured program. I just don't know which one.

any program you do, it's about the work you put into it. going to class for 8 hours and calling it a day isn't going to cut it.

That being said...

I've watched PASS videos...it's VERY basic and not very detailed. I got the feeling it was just somebody organized First Aid a bit and just spoke out what he organized. NOT detailed by any means (I also have a couple of friends who just finished the live program (or are doing it now) - they said for most things its not very good at all).

I've also watched Kaplan videos. Pretty good (but horrible in Neuro and Genetics). I don't know how people do 8 hours of videos and learn anything (unless you're very strong in the subject, which leaves me wondering why you're watching a video to begin with).

I just wish Goljan taught every subject. I can learn and read anything that man writes.
