Made this post a few weeks ago, and recently found out that I passed on my second attempt. Thank god that's over.
There was a good amount of debate in my earlier post on whether or not to retake for a numbered score vs. P/F. Ended up taking it P/F for the sake of my own sanity. I gotta admit, my form this time around was stupidly easy (I'm talking 10th grade biology level of easy), to the point that part of me wishes that I actually took it for a score. I'm honestly wondering if they "dumbed down" the questions after January 26th, because friends who took it around the same time felt the same way.
Anyways, my main point: Don't be intimidated by a retake to the point that you psych yourself out. And if medicine really is that important to you, give yourself a second chance (time- and cost-permitting, of course).
If you're in a similar situation and/or struggling in general, don't hesitate to reach out!
Onwards and upwards to Step 2!
