hello guys, I just passed the PTCE yesterday and I still little bit confused about what this is for.

Does it mean I am a certified pharmacy tech now? Is this consider as "Professional Licenses and Certifications" in one of the sections in the Pharmcas?

what should I put down "Type of license or certificate:"?
How about "Issuing Organization"?

They gave me a piece of paper that showed I passed the exam, and they said the real certificate should be in the mail 1-2 weeks. Should I need to wait until I get the certificate then put the "Expiration Month/Year" in the PharmCAS?

Thank yall for the time!

You have to wait until you get your certification and then register with your state, or at least find out if you need to register in your state to practice as a tech.

Yes you would list this under professional licenses and certs in PharmCAS.

Pharmacy Tech. Certification>>>PTCB

Unfortunately you will have to wait until you get the cert. to know what the expiration date is.

damn, I am a pharmacy tech now?! awesome! I am the ONLY certified tech in my local wal-mart right now~~~~ sweet!

Is it increase my chance to getting in the pharmacy school?

Yeah, you can add C.PhT to your name officially now. Yippeeeee.

The cert. in and of itself won't change your admissions chances, IMO, but the experience you gain in working certainly will. If you're already getting experience then it probably won't matter much. But, it can't hurt in any case.

The fact that you're certified doesn't really mean much. It's really more about the experience, as P4Sci stated.

Not only are you the only certified tech at your store, perhaps you're the only one with an audi r8.

Some states don't require an official cert for techs.
Yeah, but you gotta be ******ed to have NO certified techs in your store... think of all the liabilities!
