Hey, I have a friend who has about a 3.6-3.7 GPA as a Biology Specialist, and got a 20 AA, but a 15 PAT

They applied to Columbia, NYU, Buffalo, BU as an international student. They wanted me to post and wanna know if the 15 PAT is gonna kill them?

Dont you guys love how people are always soo concearned about their friends on this board...

The GPA is good, the AA is good, the PAT hurts, but wont kill your friend's chances.

Has he received a interview invitations from those schools yet? If he has - then everything is OK. If he has applyed 2 - 3 months ago and not received anything by now then maybe it will hurt him.

Huh?? Whats going on here? Do you think that I would hide the fact that I had a 15 PAT? I dont know anyone on this board, so why would I care! This question is really about my friend!

I told her that I was on this forum, and she is computer illiterate, so I told her I would just post the question up and ask you guys for what you think? Geez...giving me the third degree here!

Anyways, she told me her application is going out in the 22nd batch which I guess is today....so she was really concerned if her 15 PAT is gonna kill after I told her about the amazing stats of the SDN people.

You should tell your friend not to be so worried. the last I heard there is not much good evidence linking the PAT with great dental skills.

Based on your friends GPA and AA I think she will get a number of interview invites.

i agree... i definately think that your friend will be able to get some interview invites.

however if the 15 really bothers them, they could easily retake it and make that known to admissions comittees

15 PAT might not hurt your friend, but not knowing how to use a computer to post on here will for sure hurt her big time; especially if her schools come with the curriculum on the DVD (NYU and BU)
