Ok so I've been doing crack dat PAT and have been scoring very well on the first 5 videos. Ive been averaging about a 23, deffinantly with some room for improvement. Ive gotten to the point where i have pretty much masterd all the categories besides angles and pattern folding.

I know angles is pretty subjective with no real definite strategy, so im hoping with practice I will simply learn how to hone my angle ranking skills lol. But im concerned with patter folding, I do ok on this section but the ones where the pattern has little tics or weird shaded areas kill me. Is there a stratagey for these or am i really suposed to mentaly keep track of multiple faces of an object as I mentaly spin and rotate and fold all at once?!?!?! I do farely well on all the other sections its just these partcular questions that kick my butt.

Also I have read somewere on one of these threads that TFE line counting is ineffective now?!?! how is that so? Does anyone agree with that statement or was i just imagining things on an imaginary thread lol. I mean i can see how soley counting on line counting may fail you but line counting in general being ineffective doesnt make any sense to me. Any one have any input on this matter?

These are my two weakest categories also. I on the folding I switched to just eliminating the ones that just did not work and improved my time and score by 3. I am now averaging roughly 12-13 right. Try it out with already completed sets from crack pat and see how that works.

Good luck.

Wow 12-13 is pretty impressive, how are you doing on the other categories. Also have you heard anything about the TFE line counting being ineffective?

For TFE, that used to be my weakest point but now i enjoy doing it more than hole punching. i decided that the only way i'd get this right is by mentally visualizing the object. By practicing I finally got it. My highest on TFE is 13 on CDP. Thats also one of my strongest points on Achiever. That's how I learnt it. Its definitely doable, you just have to sit down and try to visualize the object in 3D. as for the line counting, i only use this method when I'm down to the last two answer choices.
