I'm retaking the DAT (2nd attempt) on the 22nd and am focusing on my weak areas from the first take.

My plan is as follows:
1. Focus on GC & OC from Chad's videos
2. Take Crack DAT PAT exams 1-10
3. Take Destroyer exams for Math to keep up on the math
4. Take qvault exams as practice for all subjects (after finishing 1-3)
5. Destroyer for GC & OC
6. Take 2009 DAT exam
7. ROCK THE DAT 😀

I want to focus on practicing for the PAT. I found that CPAT did not fully prepare me for the real exam. I know achiever is really good for PAT prep but im not sure if I want to shell out the money for the full exam. I'd only use the PAT portion bc I don't to kill my confidence right before the actual exam.

Any advice for me from someone who's done it before or currently studying?

Thanks in advance!! 🙂

Achiever for PAT is the way to go. By the time I was done with it, I scored anywhere from a 25 to a 29 on Crack PAT.

Just beware that the 2009 exam is significantly easier than the real thing. I found TopScore Pro to be more representative.

Thanks aqz and Electrophilic, I guess I will have to go with the Achiever exams.

Qvault just doubled their prices!! I did their PAT practice exam and didn't like the layout at all, not at all comparable to CPAT. Their hole punch section doesn't show the folds clearly (some folds are into the screen and now towards you) and their cube counting has a weird layout (all the figures are labeled E and they ask for cubes with 0 sides painted- the real DAT isn't going to ask that).

I wish I could somehow get Topscore but I use a mac and don't have access to a windows computer.

I'm slightly worried about using prep material that is tougher than the actual DAT. I'd also like to use material that is on par with the real deal so I have a good idea of where I stand going in.

Our school has a pre-professional student resource room with all kinds of study materials in the advising office. Our pre-dent club asked our advisor to purchase one copy for all of us to use. Does your school have anything like this?

When it all comes down to it, if you're scoring 22+ on CPAT and 20+ on achiever, you should be ready for the real deal even if it's easier. I doubt the "easiness" of the real PAT will instead throw you off on test day.

electrophilic, I don't think we have something like that. I am doing my post-bac here so not 100% sure but I will ask around. Thanks!

aqz, I think I need to stop thinking and stressing out and just plow through all the material I have. Thanks for the advice 🙂
