Is there anyway to improve on the angle rankings? The Crack PAT's angles are killing me!!

I'm only getting about 8 or 9 out of 15 right now.

Same here. Well its kind of weird. There are times when I would get 12+ and then there are times when I would get 8 or 9, go figure 🙄.

How are you doing on the TFE?

The actual DATs angles are actually a drop easier that Crack's so if you are getting a 9 on that section i would say expect a 12 maybe. The only way to get better at angles is throuhg practice and seeing as many different angles as possible.

Yah, I guess we can't do too much about that. There is no point in spending too much time on the Angles while some of the other sections probably will need more attention. I try to get through the angles in 5mins or less.

Hopefully someone can confirm for me on this. But it seems like on the Crack Pat concerning Angles: the multiple choices that are given (not the angles) might be more difficult than the actual DAT's choices. For example, alot of the m/c are:

a) 1-2-3-4
b) 2-1-4-3
c) 2-1-3-4
d) 2-3-1-4

You notice that 3/4 choices starts with 2 or ends with 4. And 90-95% of the time that IS the answer for the Crack PAT (I noticed as I review my wrong answers). Then it comes down to which is smaller, 1 or 3? And it's usually a 4-5 degree difference. Then I get it wrong.

So I just want to know if the real DAT is gonna have those tricky choices too?

To Thudercatz: With TFE on the Crack Pat I usually get about 13 / 15.

Yes they are tricky on the real thing too. Often you will end up with a clear low angle and a clear high angle but the two in the middle are only slightly apart. The answer choices don't help either because both options are normally there too.

Best way to practice is exposing yourself. If you have a study partner buy two protractors and make your own angles and then exchange them. Also the software can be bought. I used topscore and Kaplan last time and got a 24, but basically it was all topscore as kaplan was a joke. This time around I have achiever and will probably buy Crack DAT PAT too, though only like the 5 test one I think.
