Does anyone know if the object in the aperture part on the PAT is allowed to pass through the hole diagonally instead of top, bottom, front, back, left or right? Thanks.

by definition it should not allowed to be. that is one of the rules of the aperature. just TFE views, but obviously they can be rotated

they can go through diagonally. dosn't necesarily have to be to the plane of he faces of the figure. There are lots of questions regarding spherical objects. These dont have specific top/bottom/sides.

See the attached.

Correct answer is A

But the given aperture possibly can pass through opening of C & D as well. Obviously its not the exact shape but I think it certainly can pass through the opening. So why A is the only correct answer?

I looked the Rules which also attached here.

Sub 2 says "The opening is always the exact shape of the appropriate external outline of the object".

Is this the reason why answer A is the only correct answer?

So if there is a 2 opening where object could possible pass through then the only correct answer would be the opening which is the projection of an object either from side, top or front.

Am I thinking correct?
