I keep getting 19's on the last 3 PAT booster practice exams (tests 3,4,5). I am using their generators like crazy, usually 30-45 minutes a day each for keyhole and pattern folding which are my weaknesses, and then like 30 more minutes on another subject which I switch around each day. My test is in less than a week and I was wondering if anyone has any tips? I usually always do great on the generators and answer them fast (30 seconds each) but they are just so much easier than the actual test questions it seems. For anyone who has used PAT booster and taken DAT, is the DAT perceptual ability section really as hard as these practice tests?

Hey, I'm taking the DAT in a few days. I've been averaging around 19-20 on all the PATbooster exams. I can let you know how it goes with the PAT.

That would be great! what day do you take it?
Kind of keeping it anonymous for now lmao. Sorry about that. I think if you're scoring at least a 19 on PAT, you're in good shape. PATBooster I can definitely say is harder compared to the actual DAT. I remember taking the DAT last year and the PAT was harder than the tool I was using (Crack DAT PAT). I was scoring around 20-23 on PAT then received an 18 on the actual DAT. Hopefully this year, using a harder source will put me in better shape.

From personal experience, PATBooster prepared me very, very well for the actual DAT. Take the scores with a grain of salt though. Focus more on hammering out your weaknesses (or building up your strengths) than what scores you are getting. Make sure to go over those tests again!

I thought the real thing is identical to PATBooster, if not slightly easier. So if you're scoring a 19 on PATBooster you will probably score 20+ on the real thing at the very least. If it helps, try saving keyholes and pattern folding until the very end. This way you can get the easy questions done first and spend the rest of your time on those 2 sections. Best of luck! 🙂

Not sure if you’ve taken it already but I was averaging 18-20 on BC, took the first free pat booster exam got a 20, and ended up getting a 30 on the real thing. My recommendation is to not worry about the practice exams too much, just get in a ton of practice. I didn’t do any practice exams for a month leading up to the exam. Just did practice problems and the generator

For some reason, I personally thought the PAT Booster was harder than the real thing (especially hole punching). I scored around 21-23 on all of mine UNTIMED. For the real thing, I got a 26 and finished 8 minutes before it ended...
