I just watched all the CDP example and review videos. Then, i took a few tests: one section at a time from 2 different test numbers. I dint have an overall PAT.score but I've averaged 66% correct in all sections. Will more practice make me better? I hope so.

Discouraged! 🙁

I was terrible at PAT up until CDP PAT 9. I couldn't break a 20. Suddenly it clicked it at the end and I scored a 23 on the real deal. I recommend Achiever's PAT though, the PAT I had was somewhere between CDP and Achiever difficulty.

Don't give up, just take a test, relax, then review it the next day to give your brain time to process the information. If you review the next day, you'll have a fresh mindset, and you'll see the questions you got wrong and think "what the hell was I doing?!". Your review is the most important part of the practice, so don't review after you're drained. The rest is just sticking with it.

Cheer up man, a 66% is about an 18. That is fair, you've only need to get better by one or two points to be pretty competitive, which practice will definitely help with.

Just keep practicing! I did the same as you, I practiced one section at a time on test 1, then did the full version of PAT untimed until test 5. I then did all tests a 2nd time timed. It's all about practicing.

not sure if you know this but the PAT is a section that is NOT averaged into your overal DAT score. In addition, it's a section that isnt glorified much by the adcoms at dental schools.

Good luck

I found that taking a few examples you missed on previous tests and really seeing in your mind what the answer is helps a lot more than taking an entire test over again. I only took the Crack DAT PAT test 5 times and each time it improved a little bit. 15-->16-->17-->18-->20 (which is what I got on the real test).
