I dont know much about the foldable ruler and am sure others will reply about it. I have heard some people using the corners of their scrap paper to judge angles better. During my test I did this for a couple of the angles but realized that for some of the angles that vary only by a pixel or two, they will not be any easier to judge with this method. I think by looking at the angle vertex and looking for the most black is still the best and most time effective manner. I spent way less than 10 minutes on this section because you can get the right answers to other parts, especially paper folding and keyhole if you spend more time on it. It also seemed to me that while the angles were indeed a bitch the real PAT made choices easier to eliminate and thus getting the right answer by default. Angles seems to be hit or miss and its all about improving your chances of making a hit without putting all your eggs into one basket. I started off scoring 17-18 on PAT. I highly recommend ACETHEDAT, that is all I used for practice. Its pretty much garbage for everything expect PAT. I believe it teaches you the right discipline to follow when doing the Real Dat. PAT is not impossible, its more about discipline and realizing that even though one looks right it probably isnt and not ruling out the odd answers immediately. I could not draw my self out of a paper bag or do anything insanely artistic. I hope this will improve of course to be a good dentist. Anyways I got a 23 on PAT which was actually 4 points higher than acethedat samples. PAT if done effectively can be like RC where you know you have the right answer before you move on with time being the limited factor. I think Top and Front end is the only section that is innate in personal ability. Oh yeah I also have glasses thicker than your car windshield, so vision isnt the key either. This of course is just my opinion but I went from bottom to top in PAT without excess practice, just Barron's and ACETHEDAT.
