Pat Help!!!

HEYY so top-front-end is the worst section of the PAT for me, i use the event theory which usually narrows it down to 2 choices. My question is if there are 2 choices, that are exactly the same, but one has some dotted lines while the other is solid lines, how can u tell which one would be used. I know that dotted line indicates something going into the surface but it can get confusing. PLEASE HELP!

I'm pretty sure you just answered your own question. Just look at the different views and determine whether or not a dotted line would be necessary or not to outline the side of the shape not facing you. It cannot possibly be more difficult than this.
