So E is right...good.
So if u look very carefully at the diagram and the options u can almost immediately eliminate B,C and D. Cannot be D because although on the diagram there are three points jutting out of the diagram, there's only 1 that juts off the SIDE. If u tried to put the diagram thru D it wud surely get stuck! also look at the distance of the little things jutting off compared to the distance between them on D. No match.
So ur left with A and E but again look at the distance of the thing juting off the side to both options. Its too high on A, E's perfect. Can't be B either because of the same reasoning.
Look carefully.

I see why E is plausible but i am still unclear as to why D is not also plausible. The way i see it, if you rotate the object to the right a little bit and fit it through D it WILL go through.

Ok sure rotate it all u like but look carefully at the distance between the notches that come pout from the object.
The middle notch would have to be a bit fatter since the other notch to the right is slightly fatter than the one to the left. The last notch, well thats fine but its the only one that fits the other two, no good. It would NOT pass thru. pay special attention to the notches both at the right and left of the object. They are not EXACTLY in line, something wud get stuck going thru.
Look again Lazerous.

hey, i still don't get it. why did you say E is the correct ans? there is only one thingy that sticks out...very confusing!!!

Wait The Answer Is Not E Its C- Stand The Cube Up On It S 2 Legs And Youll See That There Are Two Legs With A Little Space In Between Them---- Reconsider And Give Feed Back Its For Sure C Not E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I think the answer is E too. If you flip E to the other side (with the part jutting out facing the right), you could easily just push the object backwards through the hole. For C, if you mean rotate it to the left, I think that bottom rectangle is actually coming out of the cube but even if it was a hole it doesn't continue all the way through so it would hit and not be able to fully pass. Hope that helps!

k... so look at the diagram and look at C again.
If u turn it over like Jdent says u have ONE leg sticking out at the bottom and the other (which he's getting confused with) sticking out in front. C it?
If u have it stand up the bottom will have a little thing sticking downward, everything else will stick out in front.
Not sure y i'm the only 1 seeing this.

let me try to explain again- the object has 3 thigns sticking out hte bottom the small on right middle the big wide on bottom right the big wide on left middle. The small on top left is in the box/a hole. Now the two wides is what i want people to focus on. Stand the box up on the legs. now a front view, youll see both of the wide legs. The right wide leg will block the samll right leg. ANd the left leg will appear in front left. However there will be a space between the 2 legs as htey dont touch.
Look again and talk to me!

I completely understand exactly what you're talking about but I think the small right block on the top is sticking off the side. There will definitely be a hole if you stand it up like you say but I think it would also need a small part jutting out on the right to account for the small piece. Otherwise it would work.

Ok so if i understand u well--if i stand this thing up on its 2 legs, i do c the "legs" ur talking about, the "space" BUT look at the distance on each side of the legs. In choice C they are equal (the spaces) but in the figure they r clearly not PLUS because of that middle piece it would not b able to pass thru.

at first, i thought jdent was crazy and then i started looking at it again and finally realized what he was talking about and i started to think he was right.
but, then i realized that if you do what jdent did, you should have a little piece coming off the side on the very bottom (which corresponds to the one thing coming off of E, which is the answer), which isnt there.
feedback please.

OK now i ee why everyone is saying its E but i still dont think that it is justting off the side although now im wondering.... well lets just see what else others have to say about it.

if you look at the large rectangle on the bottom right, the line where it ends is flush with the side of the box. the small right piece, however, is not and seems to be some sort of cylinder wrapped around the side. do you see it?

k, jdent look at E but fit the legs in first, u'll c the only piece left is that little piece at the side and E has the perfect aperture for it.

I find these to be quite frustrating at times and I see where you are coming from. I was tempted to choose C at first, it is a little deceiving, but I think if you stood it up on its "legs" you would find that the space between the two larger protrusions is minimal compared to the picture in C. I am inclined to think E is the correct answer if the image is viewed directly from the back (the back being the side opposite the side with the protrusions).

I stopped reading after about post 20 but I agree that the answer has to be E

Someone was saying that if you stand it up on all the little legs it would be C. You're right, if you were to tilt it forward and stand it up there would be something resembling C but what you're not seeing is the piece on the right side of the figure. Zoom in on it and you'll notice that it actually sticks off of the corner. So, basically, if you were to stand the figure up on its legs there would be a little notch thing sticking out of the right side so it wouldnt be able to fit through C.

Now, remember that notch thing I was just talking about? That's why E is right. It's the only thing sticking out of the side.

Yeah like I said I stopped reading around post 20 so I dont even know if it was necessary for me to comment any more.

The answer is E. If you stand it u on the side that has all of the protrusions being the bottom, you will see that there is a little gap in the middle of those protrusions, and that corresponds to the bottom part of C. Howeevr on the right of the picturer there is a little overcrop that is not accounted for in C. Therefore the only one that accounts for the overcrop is E.
