The answer is perpendicular. How can we tell this???

Looks like a pentagon to me. I would say it is slanted, but if you look at how the object is tilted and not flat on any surface you might agree...

When you say bottom shape, do you mean the "base" of the pentagon?, or perpindicular to the other "jutted-out" shape? Or, do you mean perpindicular to the side of the pentagon that it sticks out from?? (if the 3rd cause is the case, then yeah its def. perpindicular). It also seems to be perpindicular to the other "jutted-out" shape.
