Im about 3 weeks out from my DAT and got a 17 on my PAT practice test. Any tips on how to improve for the future? How does the real DAT compare the practice PAT tests on DAT Bootcamp?

Thanks!

The PAT DAT felt like a bootcamp exam in my experience. For you to improve, from now till test day, abuse the generators. And 10 days away from your exam, do one exam everyday.

Do 15 problems from each section every day- when you get the practice exam skip to problem 31. Did this for a week and went from a 20 to a 22. Good luck!

I found that reviewing my wrong answers helped the most, along with LOTS of practice. My PAT section was very similar to BC in terms of difficulty, with keyholes & angle ranking being harder on the real thing.

I'm less than ten days away from my DAT. Also getting 17 on PAT. Getting 19 average on bio, 21 GC, 20 OC. Haven't tried math or English yet. Thinking of postponing a week or so.

You still have plenty of time to get in a ton of practice. You'll definitely get there.

My real PAT was easier than Bootcamp overall but still pretty close in terms of difficulty (except keyholes which were way harder on the real DAT). 3 weeks is a lot of time to practice - hit those generators every day and space our your practice exams. Are you having difficulties with speed or specific sections?

BC PAT was very similar to the real DAT.
For me, I just did 5-10 generator questions of each section every day ... 10 for the harder sections and 5 for easier.
I did angles first then all sections in row. I did keyhole last because that was hard for me.
I scored the highest on PAT on the DAT. If you don't get into 20's within 1.5 weeks away from DAT, then I would suggest extending....but that's me, take that as you may

Thanks I will def take that into account! My speed is ok, the keyhole, angle, and pattern folding are killing my score. Im doing fine in the other sections.

real was much harder for me but I scored a tiny bit higher than my practice scores on BC

Wow, surprised by the chorus of, "Real was harder." For me, real was much easier. Struggled to finish and get a 20-21 on BC, but finished with time to review on real with 24

Started doing DAT Bootcamp's PAT three weeks before my exam. Maybe 45 minutes a day when not doing a practice exam. Consistently got 17s, maybe a couple 18s. Got a 21 on the real thing. You're gonna do great!

Honestly, DAT difficulty will vary from person to person. My RC and PAT section were harder than Bootcamp, while many people on SDN have had easier versions. Same goes for the other sections.

bootcamp is harder than real, i would get 17 and 18 on bootcamp PAT and got 20 on the real one...hardest part on real DAT in my experience was keyholes.

Honestly, Ive done Crack the PAT and DAT bootcamp. DAT bootcamp is the closest you can get to the real DAT. I think Crack the PAT is good practice to start on DAT bootcamp

I stared out getting 15s on my PAT. Then I just practiced EVERYDAY 2 months ahead with Bootcamp. I ended up with 24.
