I missed this question on the CDP Test 2. I was wondering why both A and D cannot be correct. Depending on if you fold the pattern toward or away from you, both seem to work. Am I totally missing something or is there some universal rule that must be followed when folding these patterns?

The pattern you see on the left shows the outside of the 3d figure. So in order to get the correct answer you will need to fold inwards. This bothered me for the longest time lol but but as soon as somebody explained it to me it made things a whole lot simpler 🙂

How do you know that it shows the outside of the figure and not the inside? I feel like I fold in on some and fold out on some. Are all the figures on the PAT supposed to fold into the plane of the computer screen because I feel like certain questions (e.g. dice), I try both to see how it turns out.

Ans is A right? for D that big dark block should be on left side of that triangle not right side thats why its wrong i think

yeah always remember to push it into the screen..

I wish someone could come up with a good techinque for angles =(

can't get more than 8 - 9 right..

I just started doing CDP and have been getting 10/15 on the angles. Its just when they flip them upside down is when Its hard...otherwise I have no problem

Someone said here before...and that helped me a lot So I hope it helps you too.

Think of one line as a straight line and other one as slope. Try to see which one is easy to climb and which one is not.

Acute Angles = if it's easy to climb then its smaller than one that's harder to climb

Obtuse Angles = if it's easy to climb then its bigger than one that is harder to climb.
