Is it me or do the highlighted corners look out of perspective?

It is the best choice for the answer but when I answered the question at the time the angle of the corners threw me off and I assumed it was the wrong answer.
 
They do look slightly off but like you said, A is still the best answer. The others are obviously wrong for solid structural reasons.

An easy way to narrow these down is to count the points of the object on one side and compare that to the answers. If you count the points on the left side you get 3.

Now do the rest..

A: 3 points
B: 4 points
C: WTF -- 4 points but major structure problems
D: WTF -- 6 points but major structure problems
 
You're right, the last indent there seems a little off. The rest are just ridiculously wrong though 😛.
