Can someone maybe explain this section a little better to me and what is on it?
Also, is the Crack the DAT PAT the best study material for this section?

Yes CDP (ace edition) is the best resource out there. I aso heard that achiever is good for practice once you are done with CDP. Also..the portion of this test has 90 questions (60 mins given for all). 90 questions are divided into the following parts (15 q's each) : keyholes, top-front-end, angle ranking, hole punching, cube counting, and pattern folding.

Once you become comfortable with CDPAT, I would opt for purchasing DAT Achiever. The PAT on there is difficult, but it is definitely GREAT practice...and practice makes perfect.
