Hi Guys !

Could some one explain to me why the answer for this question is C and not D ? For some reason I cannot visualize it properly !

The front view shows you that you have an opening through the entire object from front to back (solid square) and another from left to right (dashed)

The side view confirms that the opening goes straight through (from left to right) and the shaded part in the side view is the one you can clearly see in the front. It also shows that the two apertures are at the same height

Therefore, we know there are 2 openings that go through the object (Front --> back) and (left --> right). Thus the choice is C, D has too many events.
 
on both of your side views you can tell that the holes are the same distance from the bottom, meaning that they will intersect with one another in the middle of the block. Knowing this, you can see the answer is C. If one hole were at the top and other at the bottom, then they would continue all the way through, not intersecting and you top view would look like D.
