Man, I just took a crack pat exam and did horrible. Spent too much time on the keyhole, didnt even get to finish the cube count. Skipped most of the hole punch. What amount of time should we spend on each section realistically? Those hole punch are hard too. For the cubes, if I dont see it I dont count it right? And also all cubes are supported by another cube. Those are the only 2 rules I read for cubes. For counting, do you guys just make a little chart numbering 1-5 and then start counting column to column like Kaplan Bluebook says pretty much? Not sure if I want to do another PAT exam. Demoralizing. 😀 Should I just skip to the easy sections like cube counting, arrows, hole punch first and then do the other 2 sections maybe?

Keyhole ~10min
angle ranking ~5min
TFE ~ 15min
hole punching ~10 mins Should get Every question correct
cube counting ~5min Make a cart and keep track of them; also should get every question corret.
Folding ~15 min

hope this helps 😉

Yeah I read Sama's tutorial. I even printed it out on legal paper. I read it last month. It's a good review for keyhole. I use the 7 method for angle ranking. I made a paper rectangle to fold lines for the hole punch but it was just a waste of time for me. There's just too many folds to keep track. Some guy recommended dong a tic tac toe chart but that is time consuming too it seems. Maybe I got to go over again.

for the hole punching what i do is i follow the folds in my mind. I start from the box one then see how they go to box 2 then box 3 and box 4. then i work back again from box 4 where the original hole is and then box 3 and so on... usually when i go from box 4 -3 i can eliminate 3 answers.

The images are blocked due to an inactive account. Can someone start a strategy thread? This whole PAT thing is news to me.

Also, when I purchase CDP, should I expect questions to have thorough explanations for answer choices? Which is geared toward practice and tutorial (for a beginner)?
