does anyone know which schools require a high PAT and which schools are just concerned with high AA. Ive noticed a large number of profiles on here have great 20+ AA but then they have 16/17 PAT and are still getting interviewed and accepted.

Most people here will tell you that you don't need a high PAT score - it's simple a checked item for D-schools. S/He has good perceptual abilities - or s/he doesn't.

Pacific is one school that really stresses doing well on the PAT. I wasn't given an interview, and I'm sure there are multiple reasons but one of them is without a doubt my 17 PAT. Other than that, I'm not sure which schools put emphasis on it.

UOP and UCLA supposedly like high PATs. UCLA and Colorado mentioned my high PAT in interviews.

I visited Ohio State about a year before i even applied and they said something about the PAT being roughly 10% of your total application. I do know that most schools however do not look at the PAT as much as other parts of your application.

I don't think UoP focus on the PAT section as much as people might think. Otherwise, I'd be accepted already.

You should have applied to Columbia. With those DAT scores, I think you would have had a very decent shot.

PAT is important, simply because it's a part of the DAT. It isn't very important, though. However, you will very rarely see anyone get into a school with PAT score of <15. You'd have to have a very good application for the adcom to overlook a very low pat.

I think a PAT score above 18 is good.

Yeah, I'm kicking myself now for only applying to west coast schools.

I think that your GPA is too low for Columbia. While Columbia put a lot of emphasis on the AA, your AA is slightly below their average (22.4) and your GPA is far lower than their average (3.5).

Thanks! If I don't get accepted by a school soon, I just might have to resort to that lol.
