I felt the same way just a few weeks ago. And then it finally clicked. Sounds cliche I know! But keep practicing and you WILL get it! What helped me the most:
I would sit down and match the lines exactly from three views: i.e. this line on top view -is this line on front view and- this line on side view etc..etc...
Then I would stare at the 3D structure and compare it to the views. Close the window with a 3D structure and look at the views again and try to imagine the structure by putting the three views together. All the steps in the order I have listed. This has helped me tremendously. I went from 4/15 to 10/15 after sitting down for 6 hours this past weekend.
Also, many questions have a distinguishing factor and if you can identify what that factor is- you can almost always eliminate down to three or even 2 answer choices!
Invest time into really comparing the lines and once you get that you will be able to imagine the structure in your head without pulling up the 3D image in CDP.
It helped me a lot. 10/15 is not good but its a good improvement i think! I should be able to nail it soon.
Good luck.
