I am struggling with the TFE section on the PAT. Is there a strategy to determine where the dashed lines are supposed to be and where the solid lines are supposed to be? It would be great it someone has any tips or explain their thought process through this section. I understand practice is the key but I would like to know if anyone has any other tips.

I dont remember if DAT bootcamp has it, but there are PAT practices where you can rotate the 3D object into each view to see how all 3 pieces of TFE make the complete structure. Its really helpful to learn how to piece together the 3D model in your head from the 2D flat pieces.

Another thing you can do is draw out a few so that you understand how the pictures fit together.

After you are comfortable seeing how they fit together you can start looking at every day objects in TFE.

Cars/Cans/Monitors/Bolts - if you are ever bored just look at an object and imagine yourself picking it up and rotating it in your head.

Good luck!

Thank you! I will try these. The generators are much more different than the practice exams, which threw me off.
