PAT timing issue

hey all...so ive been practicing on CDP. i finally started doing the timed tests, but I cant seem to answer a significant amount of questions in the timed setting which is really worrying me. the last test I did, I could not get through 19 questions. But I was making a 17 in CDP with all the ones I did answer.🙁

Plz help. Do u have any tips or tricks on how to become faster at these? Looking back, maybe I could have christmas-treed something in, but other than that, do you have any suggestions for me.

Also, to get at least a 20 on the real PAT, approximately how many questions would I need to get correct? Thanks so much!

Just keep practicing. When I started taking the timed tests, I would always run out of time. The more I practiced though, the better I got. You'll eventually get into the groove of things and start getting quicker and quicker. No worries

that's an average of around 3 per section that you can get wrong. In my case, I need to maximize cube counting to give myself more errors on Keyhole and Angle ranking

Timing can be tough. But play your strengths. In the science section I always needed extra time for Gen chem, but hardly any for ochem and bio. I would cruise through the easier ones and spend more time on the harder ones.

PAT is the same. I got really good at the hole punch, cube counting, angle, etc. that I was able to spend more time on harder ones. ANother key is pacing yourself. If you dont think you are making much progress on a question then skip it. Dont spend more than like 40 seconds on one question. Skip it and get all the easier ones and come back to marked questions. Look up different methods and techniques here on SD. I used grid method for hole punch and never missed any of those.
