I've done quite poorly in PAT section in my DAT test. I am just wondering how much does it factor in when they look at your score? In interview, if someone ask why I did so badly, what will be a good response?

Every school looks at your individual scores differently so it's hard to say how much this will weigh in their decision to let you into the club. If you think the reason you scored less than you expected was just a case of test anxiety, sleep deprivation, etc. then you may want to retake the DAT after a bit more practice. It's an opportunity to increase all of your scores, not just the PAT. But be aware that it's also an opportunity to lower your individual (and overall) scores as well.

Dont feel to down even though schools look at the PAT its not the most important i got into Stony Brook along with a few others with a not to great PAT score so keep the faith!!
