Duuuuudes.. I just finished my 3rd Crack DAT test and I am having a really hard time.

So far it's been 15/17/17. I don't know any tricks or anything, so I just try to do everything straight up.

If any of you have watched Ross's videos..should I purchase those? Are they really helpful?

Don't worry, PAT is so conquerable. It's a process.

Just tackle one topic at a time until you become good at it. Doing the specific topic untimed will help too. Soon enough your score will improve significantly.

I started with 17-18 scores in CDP and eventually scored 23-25 consistently.

I totally agree with LG2DS.

I scored 18 in the beginning when I didn't know what to do, how to attack PAT in general.

It is a continuous process you gradually just pick up on it. This is no lie. One day it will just click to you. I did not fall below 20 after a while. It will take you some time, but hang in there. I assure you you will get better.

It was interesting to see the transformation from having to concentrate really hard to solve a problem to being able to just easily look at it and solve it effortlessly while predicting the answer (such as in hole punching).

After a certain point, it becomes so painless that one can do it half-asleep. That's when PAT became fun.

I have about 20 days left...lets hope I can master it by then.

I got sciences pretty much down. Going to start doing practice tests on Monday to see where my weak points are for everything.

Math and PAT are definitely my weaknesses right now, but I know both can be improved with practice so I'm not tripping too hard unless I'm still getting raped like 5 days before the test 😛

20 days is plenty! Hang in there

My total study time for the entire DAT was 20 days. Trust me, you can figure out PAT in that time.

I agree with L2D, he suggested doing the PAT un-timed. It really helps you master the problems without worrying about the clock.

As for pattern folding, using sticky notes or a square piece of paper and folding it along to the solutions REALLY helps it click faster.
