Hi guys I haven't started studying for the DAT, but I was wondering, for the PAT section, is it one of those things where its either you understand it or you don't? Or can you actually do well if you put in ridiculous amount of time practicing it? Please let me know! 🙂

in my experience...

Honestly, if i was given unlimited time, i think a 90%-95% correct would not be out of the question. however, the challennge of the section and (i think) the true test is to gaugu one's ability to work accurately and fast. the pat section is all about speed and the more time you put in, the more efficient and confident you become moving forward.

also, practive will help you develop your own techniques for this section. I suggest crack the dat pat because it prepares you for the tru format of the exam which is computerized. and while your at it, practice with dry erase board and marker.

thanks for your input! i really appreciate it, and i'm going to study like a beast for it.

oh yeah, best thing to do to prepare is not go more than a few days without reviewing. even just a few to refresh your eyes and nail down your technique is essential.
