Goljan Rapid Review or Kaplan path book (I have on pdf) or BRS newely released version??

Also what about Goljan audio lectures, I ve heard that they are really really good?? Do they follow along with the rapid review book?

BRS is more of an outline while Goljan RR gives a lot more detail. I actually prefer the detail b/c I felt that BRS was omitting too much information, if I was good, I picked up on what wasn't there, but if you're looking for a refresher I didn't think it was that helpful. Sort of regret buying BRS, now.

I second for RR. Kaplan is actually a nice reference and is more text like, while RR and BRS are in outline format. RR is more detailed than BRS with integrations of pathophys and biochem which I really like (i.e. Goljan tries to explain why certain symptoms are present). Problem with Kaplan is its a nice reference but you practically have to buy the whole set which sets you back a few hundred bucks even used. RR wins for more bang for your buck.

The audio is good but not necessary, everything is in the book. It's just a different format to study if you are a auditory learner. Goljan is entertaining and explains certain things really well so to me its worth it.

I want to like RR but that bloody format aggravates me, plus I have 3 months and some change until I take the beast and I've only read 2 chapters. That is why I'm considering the 4th ed. BRS Path.

I havent looked at BRS path yet but RR seems like a litte too outline-ish..I looked at the first chapter and I feel the same way about the format. Maybe i ll appreciate it more after I ve finished path..but I was hoping to use RR along with my path class like I ve used BRS for a few of my other courses. First day of micro tommorow and first lec of path later this week.👍 I feel like I m finally really starting med school now with path. The first year still seemed undergradish (anatomy, biochem, physio...etc)

I'm thinking RR will help you when you have some substance like Goljan audio or your Prof lecturing to you. It seems like it is basically really good notes to review a lecture.
