Is it true that Dentigerous cyst is also called Follicular cyst

and

Primordial cyst is also called Follicular cyst

If yes then what is the difference between Detigerous cyst and Follicular cyst
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

How will you find out if the patient on your chair has Dentigerous cyst or Odontogenic Keratocyst.?

Please reply with website links or give reason for your anwers.

Thanks

Dentigerous cyst is alwaz associated with an unerrupted tooth n it encloses its crown in the cystic cavity, while primordial cyst is associated with an unerrupted missing tooth i.e it arises in place of the tooth..

both dentigerous n od keratocyst are associated with the crown of an unerruted tooth , but od keratocyst is usually multilocular n the best way to diff b/w the two is thru histopathology..
Hope it helps...

I agree with highbrow,

In simple word Primordial cyst and Keratogenic cyst develop in place of tooth (So tooth will be missing) and In Dentigerous cyst you will find teeth associated with that....
