Pathophys,Pathophys What should we do for Pathophys

My title rhymes, if medicine doesn't work our I will try to be a rapper or something .....(I think I am tired I am getting delusional)

Should we do anything specific for Pathophys? Or just learn pathology and physiology real well ( I have read both BRS's PAtho and Physio) my exam is in 10 days (I am almost done with q-bank). SHould I reread both those books again and first aid?????

BRS Path is a great study guide, and FA might help add a few things to it. The problem, I'm sad to say, is that there are going to be questions that require you to know detail that was covered in your pathophys course, or in the textbook. I noticed a lot of this while taking the NBME assessment exams, so I used my five days of Path study to read the Robbin's Basic Pathology book almost cover to cover (notice I said almost 🙁 )) I felt totally prepared for all the path questions on my exam, but reading a text is not something that a lot of people will do. I don't necessarily recommend doing it, but it worked out well for me I think.

BRS Path and Physio, plus FA will cover the majority of the pathophys. Just make sure you can take a disease and understand how it directly affects the physiology of that organ system (this is something that is not directly addressed in either of the BRS books; you kinda have to correlate it yourself)

Does anyone recommend Pathophys for the Boards and Wards for the Pathophys on Step 1?

I was told its geared more toward Step 2/ 3rd & 4th years.

It has alot of clinically oriented stuff, but certainly more of the phys of pathophys than say, BRS Path. Not that thick of a book. Gonna give it a one through at some pt, me thinks.
