This may seem elementary, but can anyone educate me on the specific pathological process that causes arthralgia following a viral infection? For example, why and how do inflammatory mediators favor synovial fluids?

synovial membrane is vascularized. the proteinaceous soup that comes with inflammation causes leaky vessels, causing increased joint pressure, causing arthralgia.
