so should i be studying pathophysiology with physiology or with pathology where i would only use a pathology book not a pathophysiology book when is this subject usually studied in med school

and what about pulmonary pathophysiology or cardiac pathophysiology is that like to be studied in specialties or in med school because there are huge books dedicated to those subject and i assume that were not suppose to study the subjects that much in depth correct??

dude ... you aren't actually attending medical school yet, are you?

because...
wait for it...
when you take the classes, you will figure out what is expected of you.
and when to study what.

I swear, people on SDN make it sound like you get dropped in the library first day of MS1 and get picked up just in time to take Step 1 and go into the clinics...

If you're not yet in med school just get your physio down as well as you can. The path & pathophys usually become a lot easier then.

Did you really need five threads asking the same thing? Couldn't you have just made one thread like "book recommendations for first year" and listed all of the subjects you are concerned about and asked for advice? I think you'd have gotten more responses.

Your school doesn't give you a syllabus or give you a suggested booklist? I'm not sure how you're going to get your IMG neurosurgery residency then  In all seriousness, you should a) consolidate your threads so you don't annoy everyone; and b) use the books your school suggests, because your goal is to pass *their* exam first before you even attempt to take the boards.

I used Lilly's Pathophysiology of Heart Disease as my only adjunct to Robbins. Lilly is an extremely well written book. Otherwise, I used just Robbins.

Premed issue and now moved to preallo. Allopathic students can follow and respond if desired.

Forget pathophys, you need to be studying punctuation.
