Ha, we watched the movie Waiting this weekend, which is set in Shenanigans, and sure enough there is goofy **** on the walls!

When I was six, my cousin asked me how to spell that word. I was small, but I knew it had weird spelling. So I started with a "P" and got stuck. My cousin started jeering at me. "Don't you know! It's spelled S-I-K-E!"

Obviously I've never forgotten the humiliation.

I believe it's sic, from Latin. I could be wrong though. It's been 15 years since I studied Latin.

I always thought the eighties-era "psych-out" or simply "PSYCH!" was from that root.

Or were you talking about "sic-ing" the Path forum? (I tried to teach my dog to "Sic balls", but I'm not that good a trainer.)

(The Latin sic in reference to an apparent misstatement that has been properly quoted means "so, thus" according to my dictionary!)

Oh, that was my favorite thing to use in papers in college. According to my dictionary, it means, "Can you believe this idiot actually said this? I'm not that stupid - I'm just showing you what he said, that dumb idiot." I also liked really long quotes, so you could write it as an indented paragraph. Pictures/graphs too. They rock.

:laugh: By the way, if you haven't seen it check out Puddle Cruiser just released on DVD. It's Broken Lizards first flick and it's awesome.
Though I have been calling shenanigans since the second season of South Park when the kids are at the carnival trying to win T&P dolls and they call shenanigans on the carney.

Speaking of Super Troopers, did any of you see "Dukes of Hazzard"? I didnt' really like it, except for the cameo by the Super Troopers when the Dukes were driving on campus. I was dying!!!
