Does enrolling patients for a clinical study you’re conducting count as patient interaction for medical schools, or is it solely volunteer based? Thanks!
Clinical experience can be paid (employment) or unpaid (volunteer). You have to be careful to distinguish patients (people seeking/receiving health care services) from research subjects who are participating in studies.
If they are wearing a patient ID wrist band at the time that they are consented, I'd say that you are interacting with a patient. If they aren't wearing a wrist band, you might be in a gray zone.
