Yeah, I really don't want to see the Patriots win because I think Belichick is a cheater and, you know, enough of Tom Brady already. But, I can't see the Giants being strong enough to pull this one out. Plus, Eli is way overrated.

I grew up in Massachusetts hating the Giants and the Dolphins. I went to undergrad at LSU and now med school there. LSU is a farm team for the Patriots (although corey webster, lsu grad plays for Giants).

I remember the Patriots superbowl loss in 1996 ... I was a drunken undergrad, and we stocked up on beer from a convenience store. Just "BEER" ... white can, big black block letters. Beer. Cheap, cheap beer.

One of my friends was so thrilled to see his Pats not suck for a change that he baked cookies and decorated them with multicolored icing to look like the Patriots logo. He started talking about the impending Patriots dynasty. We made fun of him, 'cause obviously the Patriots were on minute 14 of their 15 minutes. I mean, really, the Patriots? And the dude made cookies!

We drank an awful lot of BEER. Some drunk guy peed on his truck at halftime. Or maybe it was after they lost. I don't rightly remember, having consumed so much BEER, but it seemed kind of rude to do that to the vehicle of someone who baked us cookies. Even if he was a California swear-to-god-I'm-not-a-bandwagoner Patriots fan.

So here we are, 12 years later, and the Pats are back. Again. And my 49ers sucked this year. Again. 🙁

At least I can afford better beer now.
