Correct me if I'm wrong, but for the pattern folding on the PAT, aren't all the folds supposed to be folded away from you? I remember reading that somewhere, and now I can't find it on any of the official directions for the PAT. I only ask this because the crackdat solutions have all the folds folded towards you. Any ideas? Thanks.

Hey, that's what I thought too. When I said away from you, I meant into the screen. Do you know where the directions state this? I just can't find the actual directions for how the folds should be folded.

I forget where I read this, but it def works
I tried looking for the directions, but it doesn't state it in there...
I guess you have to just take my word on it 🙂

The explanation would be so much easier with a 3D visual but here goes. The 2D pattern that they give you shows the OUTSIDE of the shape. Therefore to keep it on the outside, you must fold INTO the screen. Go to a practice problem and try to fold into the screen and then out of the screen. You'll see that the pattern will not be the same, that is why you must follow that single rule. If you take Kaplan course, they have cut outs you can practice with to see where I am trying to get at.

And though the direction isn't very clear, the last line of the first paragraph of the directions says, "The pattern at left represents the outside of the figure." That's why you have to fold into the page. Directions aren't very explicit here.
