How much of a pay cut does a PT take if s/he chooses to work part time rather than full time?

Will working part time slow down a PTs rate of wage increases?

The Bureau of Labor Statistics says that ~20% of PTs work part time.

The mean national wage is $74K? I don't know of a single PT making that.

If you work part time, you will usually get paid more. In NYC you can make $40-75/hour part time. $30-40/hour full time. However, you give up important benefits such as cont ed, health insurance, malpractice insurance, vacation days, PTO hours, etc if part time.

Depends on where you live. I know many in Cali, NJ, and NYC that make in the 70s or more.
