Hi,

Does anyone know how these are paid off? Do you pay the fees when you fill out the AMCAS forms? I know this is a stupid question, but this is the first time for me...

thx!

You pay AMCAS $150 for the first school and $30 (I think?) for each additional school. You can pay this by credit card when you submit. I think they are doing electronic bank transfers this year too.

When the schools get your app, they will send you a secondary (if they have one) and you send in a check with the secondary. Fees vary depending on the school. They range from about $100 to free.

Hope this helps!

Femtochemistry,

the above posters are correct. You seem to be asking many elementary questions regarding the AMCAS application. And certainly there is nothing wrong with asking the questions here, however I think you will find that most of the questions can be answered by reading the AMCAS Instruction Booklet available on-line at http://www.aamc.org/students/amcas/2003.htm .

Best wishes to you for this upcoming application cycle...

...why don't all us sdners get together and do a collective lotto thingy....for real. maybe then we could actually afford to just get accepted into med school! ...let alone pay tuition
