So I just got off the phone with the financial aid people at NSU and they let me know what my tentative financial aid package was... and let’s just say it wasn't even enough to cover my base tuition.

So now what?

The person did say that it may or may not change since there was such a large difference between my cost of attendance and my award, but what do I do if it doesn't change?

Does any one know how this whole financial aid thing works that can offer me some advice?

loans will become your best friend.... FAFSA for federal loans and private to cover whatever else you will need...I use Northstar (T.H.E.) for my private lonas and am very satisfied...talk to the financial aid office at your school...they should guide you through the process

i heard NSU financial aid office is not very helpful. You just need to up the pressure on them to get things done. try a search in both pre-DO and DO on financial aid. i believe this was discussed before.
