Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone know how the payscale within academic med. positions vary by the specialty you chose?

I know the in private practice, Rads will get paid sig. more than Family medicine. Does this difference (possibly in excess of 100K) exist for Rads and FM docs who are in academics?

Thanks!

Yes. There are salary differentials based on specialty.

The AMA produces a book of academic salaries by specialty, position and geographic region. Its pretty expensive as I recall so most couldn't afford it, but some of your faculty may have it or it may be found in the library.

Thanks for the info!
