Of course it's NOVA !! Just take a look at their passing rate!

I would choose Nova because...
- High board passing rate
- More establish (close to about 20 years in establishment)
- A lot of connections with hospitals and pharmacies (good reputation)
- They plan to build an academic village and hospital
- Located in the health professions building (if u plan to look for
relationship with a pharm student, dentist student, medical student, nursing students).
- Curriculum is more clinical oriented
- Not as religious as PBA
- Cheaper Housing
- Close ft. lauderdale and miami

Thanks a lot, very useful your info. Is there any website where I can go to compare the passing rate for the different schools?

Definitely NOVA. They are a very good pharmacy school and are well-established. Furthermore, their health professions division has other medically related areas such as osteopathic medicine, dentistry, and optometry. Hence in their information brochure they advertise how their pharmacy school interacts with the other health professions divisions. Furthermore, NOVA has an established high pass rate on the NAPLEX, so they are preparing you in the correct way.

Palm Beach Atlantic is much newer. In fact it was called Palm Beach Atlantic College instead of Unviersity before they had the pharmacy school.

My aunt is a pharmacist and the manager that she works at Walgreens is a UF graduate and gets pharmacy students on their rotations from all four Florida schools. He ranks the schools in the following order:

UF > Nova > Palm Beach Atlantic > FAMU

He thinks that Nova is better than PBA as well and he gets interns from both schools.

This person has been a practicing pharmacist in retail for a very long time so I think that he should know the best.

Forgot to mention this. But I am originally from West Palm Beach where PBA is located and my parents still live there, and this pharmacist manager is a Walgreens in Northern Palm Beach County, so the students he gets are from BOTH the West Palm and Fort Lauderdale campuses of NOVA.

very good respond!!! yep, NOVA it is!!!

Definately Nova, for all the reasons stated above. If you want to live in Palm Beach County, then you can goto the Palm Beach campus of Nova...it is essentially the same program but you don't have the interaction with the other health professions(DO, OD, DMD, etc.). Good luck!
